Tree Bark Drawing

Here is a piece that has been carefully drawn out from the influence from Tree Bark rubbings.  My intentions are to be able to recreate this design but by carving it into a block of Balsa Wood. (Expressing natural identity by using its complexion as my guideline)

Elective: Projected Light and Mark Making

As a Group we manipulated the hexagon slide from the projector by using paper to interact with the light and making the lines changed direction and thus altering the complete image into something new.

Angelina

Here is a mixed media representation of Angelina Jolie which has been piece-by-piece assembled on chipboard.  It explores the alterations that a celebrity might undertake whilst being reconstruction for satisfaction and beauty.

'Untitled #3'

Here is another piece from the series of human representations.  Constructed with the same materials as the previous work, but rearranged by shaping a head out of bubble wrap and then throwing a dust sheet over the top as a type of a clothing.

'Untitled 2011'

Here is a Sculpture made purely out of wood pallets.  I had a strong interest in human form, but with this piece I tried making an awkward position with reference to myself.

'Untitled #2'

Here is another piece of work that has representational features of a human. I tried to strip it back even further then the previous work to see whether it was possible for it to become unrecognisable as a person.  I used another cast of my arm using the same resources as before and then wrapped up a dust sheet to create the head.

'Untitled #1'

Here I was trying to represent aspects of a person by showing the simplest human form.  The head is made in bubble wrap and for a realistic aspect, I used my own arms as the guideline by covering them in barbed wire and then using plastic bags to cover them as a type of skin.
